Lisandra Guevara, Spokesperson

Lisandra Guevara is a passionate music therapist whose work has transformed lives since 2013. Her commitment to music therapy transcends conventional boundaries, as she has devoted years to volunteering at the National School for the Blind in Angola. There, she pioneered innovative, music-based programs specifically designed to meet the needs of visually impaired children and adolescents. Her programs create a nurturing environment for these children, helping them build confidence, enhance sensory perception, and express themselves in safe, empowering ways. Lisandra’s dedication extends beyond Angola, as she has brought music therapy to various international outreach projects in under-resourced communities and areas affected by trauma. She has a special gift for connecting with children facing medical fragility and behavioral challenges such as autism and ADHD, using her musical talent and profound empathy to create therapeutic sessions that encourage self-expression and emotional healing. Fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, Lisandra continues to expand her reach, bringing the transformative power of music therapy to our communities and beyond.
